Chinese Salt and Chilli Beef Stir-Fry

This Chinese Salt and Chilli Beef is a delicious and quick recipe perfect for busy weeknights. With the right blend of spices and tender beef, this dish brings the flavours of Chinese cuisine to your table in just 30 minutes. Enjoy this healthy and savoury dish with family and friends!
Ingredients
- 500g lean beef strips
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable or corn oil
- 1 tsp SpiceMasters Chinese salt and chilli spice blend
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 100ml beef stock
- 2 spring onions, chopped for garnish
Directions
Slice the beef and vegetables.
Heat the oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the beef strips and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
Mix the cornstarch with a little water
Return the beef to the pan and add the Chinese salt and chilli spice blend, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and then the beef stock.
Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the sauce bubbles.
Add in the cornstarch and stir until the the sauce thickens slightly and the beef is cooked through.
Drizzle with sesame oil and give a final stir.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
